Connect Claude to WordPress. Straight from Claude's directory.

What you need.
- Claude. On the web, in the desktop app or on your phone. The connector directory is in all three.
- AlphaBridge on your site. The free plugin from WordPress.org is enough to start. It has 40 tools and needs no account.
- An administrator login. You approve the connection with your WordPress administrator account.

Install AlphaBridge on your site
In WordPress, go to Plugins and add a new one. Search for AlphaBridge MCP, click Install Now and then Activate. The plugin is free.
Already installed? Go straight to step 2.
Connect from Claude
You do this once. After that, AlphaBridge is there in your browser, in the desktop app and on your phone.
- Open the AlphaBridge listing in Claude's directory. In Claude, you find it under Customize → Connectors → Discover.
- Select Connect to Claude.
- A window asks for your site's address. Enter it and continue.
The window belongs to AlphaBridge Connect, our free connection service. It passes your content through without storing it. Details are in its privacy notice.
In a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an owner first adds AlphaBridge for the organization under Organization settings → Connectors → Browse connectors. After that, everyone connects as above.
Approve on your site and get started
Your WordPress sign-in opens, as usual. Sign in, choose what Claude may do and select Allow. You are then back in Claude, and AlphaBridge shows as connected.
Open a new chat. Under the + button and then Connectors, AlphaBridge must be switched on there.
Then just ask. Try it: “Which posts did I publish last?”
That's it. From now on, just tell Claude what to do on your site.
You stay in control. After installing, Claude can only read. If it should make changes too, switch on “Write access for AI assistants” once, at the top of Settings → AlphaBridge MCP. The switch holds for every connection, and changes then take effect immediately and can be destructive. You switch it on at your own risk, so keep a current backup. One click turns it off again.
More sites? Just ask Claude to add another site. It gives you a link, you approve on that site, and up to 10 sites work in one chat.
Prefer to connect without AlphaBridge Connect?
In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors, choose Add and then Add custom connector. Enter a name and, as the server URL, your site's own address. You find it in WordPress under Settings → AlphaBridge MCP, with a copy button. Your WordPress sign-in then opens right away. Nothing passes through our servers, and the connector reaches that one site. In a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors (Add → Custom → Web), and everyone then selects Connect next to it under Customize → Connectors.

Does this work with a self-hosted WordPress site?
Yes. AlphaBridge is a plugin for WordPress sites on your own hosting. It needs WordPress 6.5 and PHP 8.0 or newer.
Do I need an account with AlphaBridge?
No. The free plugin needs no account. You approve the connection on your own WordPress login.
Can I connect Claude without AlphaBridge Connect?
Yes. AlphaBridge Connect is optional. Create a connection in the plugin and add its address in Claude as a custom connector.
