What is a WordPress MCP server?
MCP is the open standard through which AI assistants use tools. A WordPress MCP server gives them tools to read and change your site. AlphaBridge is such a server, as a plugin right inside WordPress. There is nothing extra to host.
How do I connect Claude to WordPress?
Install AlphaBridge and find it in Claude's connector directory. Enter your site's address and approve on your own WordPress login. There is no token to copy. Claude step by step →
Can I connect ChatGPT to WordPress too?

Do I need an API key or AI credits?
No. AlphaBridge has no AI of its own. You use Claude or ChatGPT as you do today.
Which edition do I need?

Who decides what the AI may change?
You do. Out of the box AlphaBridge only reads. An administrator switches on write access with one switch. They confirm a notice that changes then take effect immediately and can be destructive. Switching it on is at your own risk, so keep a current backup. Tools that read code, files or the database also wait for write access. The AI can only do what your WordPress account may do.
What can I undo with Pro?
With Pro you undo edits to pages and page-builder elements. Theme files, plugin files and PHP snippets come back with Pro too. Pro keeps the newest 50 undo points. Each lasts 7 days by default, adjustable from 1 to 30 days. Search and replace in Pro keeps one only for page-builder pages. Pro's shop, SEO and user tools have no undo. Database writes have none either.
What if Claude's code breaks my site?
Pro checks PHP before it saves it. Pro calls your site after each PHP edit to an active plugin, the active theme or a snippet. If the site no longer loads, Pro puts the old version back at once. The test calls the home page, not the checkout or cron jobs. Activating a plugin or theme runs without this test, and so does Site Deploy. Keep a current backup.
Which page builders does it work with?
The free plugin reads pages of many builders, such as Elementor, Beaver Builder and SiteOrigin. Pro changes their texts, links and images. Some newer builders, such as Bricks and Breakdance, are only recognised so far. The full list is in the docs.
What does the hub store?
The hub is optional. Your sites' access keys are stored there encrypted, in the EU. Content passes through without being stored. You can also connect Claude straight to your site. The details are in the hub's privacy notice.
What happens if I cancel?
Your site keeps the free tools. The Pro tools stop when the licence ends. Payment runs through Freemius, our merchant of record.
